The exchange

It's not a discount. It's a build partnership.

We don't need more passive users. We need thirty firms with a real bad-fit problem to solve. Firms that want to be more selective about who they take on, to standardize how they decide, and to flex that standard as markets and capacity shift without retraining staff every time. Spend an hour a month helping us get the scoring right, and you get a year of TRIAGE for less than the cost of one wrong-fit discovery call.

What you commit to

~1 hour a month, plus historical intake data.
  • 30 to 60 minutes of structured feedback every two weeks. Twelve scheduled calibration sessions over the year. We bring the agenda; you bring last fortnight's submissions and what felt off.
  • Share your last 25 prospect submissions, anonymized. We strip identifiers. Your firm name is never tied to any case study without your written go-ahead.
  • Tell us which scoring weights you'd adjust and why. Specific. Concrete. Your firm's tolerance for crypto, foreign income, or unfiled-year tails should shape the model for the solo tier.
  • Be willing to be quoted, firm name optional. Capacity stories are how the next thirty firms learn this is real. You decide the level of attribution.

What you get

Beyond the $1,800 in year-one savings.
  • TRIAGE at $49/month for 12 months. Solo tier, full functionality, all integrations. No feature gates.
  • Direct input into the scoring model. The weights that ship for the solo tier are the ones the cohort tested and signed off on.
  • First access to features as they ship. Document upload, multi-location, partner-network sync, cohort firms get them weeks before general release.
  • Founding-firm credit on the launch page. Opt-in. Helps you signal to your prospects that you run a deliberate intake.
  • Lifetime renewal lock at $149/month. $50 below the published base, grandfathered against every future price adjustment. Complete the cohort once; the rate is yours for life.
Who this is for

A clean fit, or a clean no.

We're building for a corner of the industry that's been ignored, so we want the widest range of practices, which means we can't take several that look alike. A no may just mean a few firms like yours got here first. Reviewed first in, first out.

Apply if you are

Solo CPA or EA, feeling the friction.

  • A solo CPA or EA practice (one principal preparer).
  • Doing 0 to 400 returns per season.
  • Already running intake through TaxDome, Canopy, or a comparable workflow tool.
  • Feeling specific intake friction, the kind you can describe in a sentence.
  • Willing to share anonymized data and 30 to 60 minutes every two weeks for up to a year.
Don't apply if you are

Looking for a discount without the work.

  • A multi-partner firm. We'll open a multi-partner cohort after solo ships.
  • Unwilling to share anonymized intake history.
  • Unable to commit 30 to 60 minutes every two weeks for up to a year.
  • Looking for a tool that makes the accept-or-refer call for you. TRIAGE systematizes the criteria and flags the risk; the decision stays yours.
  • In a role that doesn't actually run intake. Ask your firm's principal to apply.

Common questions

Cohort, candidly.

What happens at the end of the 12 months?

If you completed your cohort obligations (the 12 calibration sessions and the data share), you renew at $149/month for life. That's $50 below the published base, and you're grandfathered against every future price adjustment. If you didn't complete, you renew at the standard solo rate (currently $199/month, subject to increase) starting month 13. We won't claw back the year-one savings either way.

What does "anonymized" actually mean?

Your firm name, client names, contact info, and any identifying free-text fields are stripped before any analyst sees the submission. We retain the structured scoring inputs (entity types, state counts, complexity flags, document readiness signals) because that's what the calibration loop needs. Your intake data is never published or shared outside the calibration team without a separate, explicit written go-ahead.

Can I withdraw mid-cohort?

Yes. You keep the founding rate for the months you participated, and you can cancel anytime after. If you withdraw before the cohort ends, your renewal reverts to the standard rate starting month 13, not retroactively.

I'm a multi-partner firm. Can I apply?

Not yet. The solo cohort calibrates the scoring weights for solo-tier firms. A separate multi-partner cohort will open after the solo tier ships, at a different price point and with different participation terms. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to hear when it opens.

Do I need to integrate with TaxDome or Canopy?

No integration is required to start. TRIAGE generates an intake link you can paste anywhere: in TaxDome's client portal, in Canopy's onboarding flow, in a plain email, or on your firm's website. Native integrations are on the roadmap; cohort firms shape the priority order.

What if I apply and don't get in?

We'll tell you why, in plain language. If it's a fit reason, multi-partner, too small, too large, we'll route you to the right path. If we filled the cohort first, you go to the top of the standard-tier waitlist when general access opens.

How is the score actually calculated?

Every submission runs through two independent models, one scoring exposure risk and one scoring readiness, which normalize and weight into a single 1.0 to 10.0 composite. Lower is a better fit, and firm-configurable thresholds sit on top. We share the full methodology, the factors, the weighting, and the override logic, with cohort members once you're in. Calibrating it together is the point of the beta.

What happens after I submit this application?

You get an immediate confirmation email. Within five business days, a member of the practice team reads your responses, not a screener, not an AI, and replies with a decision. If it's a yes, we schedule a 20-minute fit call to walk through cohort logistics and your calibration goals before you commit.
